Portugal team in camp today August 10 in Oeiras- Cristiano Ronaldo in Spain, replaced by Lazio forward Eliseu, Nani still with pains on shoulder
Cristiano Ronaldo won't get a chance to make his mark in this friendly with an 'easy' opponent, Liechtenstein. Coach Carlos Queiroz replaced him with forward from Lazio, Eliseu. Nani arrived at the camp in Oeiras but still uncertain if he can play due to a left shoulder injury.
Photo: Tiago facing the camera, Hugo Almeida recognizable by his tatoo on his right leg.
Nani said in Portuguese when he arrived in Oeiras "I still feel pain on my shoulder. There are still two more days. If it gets better then it's the coach who'll decide."
Benfica goalkeeper Moreira also spoke to journalists and said in Portuguese that the game against Liechtenstein is "a good test, the last one before the double header" in September. These types of games are important because it lets the players be at "200 %" for the games against Denmark and Hungary.

01:10 Tiago interview in Portuguese:
"The qualification matches are always difficult. It's true that it has been harder because we lost points in the beginning so we can't stumble anymore until the end."
(As qualificações são sempre difíceis. É verdade que esta tem sido ainda mais, temos perdido alguns pontos no início e não podemos facilitar mais até ao final)
---
Portugal better win the rest of the games. With Ibrahimovic not available in the Sweden team, what's the excuse now? Didn't play all 90 minutes in the last game. With Deco not being a 100% percent, it might be Tiago's chance to play more minutes against Sweden. For sure, his confidence is growing because he's in the starting lineup at Juve again.

Video Tiago interview in Italian Mar 12, 2009- after Juventus eliminated from Champions League after Chelsea game
Video Tiago interview in Italian Mar 12, 2009- after Juventus was eliminated from Champions League after Chelsea game
Tiago: "I think tomorrow we'll be fine. We have to think of the championship. We have to think of Bologna and we have to win. After the first victory we would be THE Juventus again."
00:22 What does this Champions League leave you? Juventus played with their chin up in both the first leg and the second leg. Also, you confirmed yourself as an important player of this new Juventus.
00:39 Tiago: "We did a good group stage performance. We were very good in the group. We had the unfortunate luck to face Chelsea. In these last 2 games, something was missing and a little luck if I may say so. But, it's clear that Chelsea, in this moment has something more than us."
reporter: Chelsea but not just them, the Italian teams were all eliminated by Premiership teams. You know the Premiership well, how much difference is there still between Italian football and English football.
01:10: Tiago "I think not much difference. They, in this moment, have even foreign coaches that gives them more,-- how to say this. Tactically, they're better than before. Champions League games, for them it's something different. Here in Italy, ther'es too much pressure. In England, they play to have fun. They're able to go through and be stronger."
01:57 Reporter: You also know Mourinho very well. HE was eliminated by Manchester United. How will he live this situation. For us in the championship, will it be an advantage that his mind is no longer focused in the Champions League?
Tiago: "I think it will be ana davntage. We wanted to go through this stage too. They will be a little disappointed too. Mourinho wanted to get further in te Champions League, even the final. They also have to get over it [elimination]."
02:49 reporter: Let's come to you now. Your growth comapred to last year. You're another player. To take you out of the team is now harder. What changed in your mind or legs?
02:52 Tiago: "I changed my way of thinking. The first year, it was really a disaster (disastro), personally, football-wise, everything. This year, I'm fine. I made myself available to the group, the coach. I'm working and giving my best."

in Portuguese "Everything's fine here (tudo bem por aqui). And over there? Ok, we'll talk later then. Kisses, kisses (beijinhos), Bye."
00:11 in French: "Me, I like to be able to to get news from my family. That is why I call Portugal unlimited." (Moi, j'aime pouvoir avoir des nouvelles de ma famille. Pour cela, j'appelle au Portugal inillimite').

Video Tiago interview in Italian Mar 19, 2009 before Roma- Juventus
Video Tiago interview in Italian Mar 19, 2009. This saturday Juventus plays against Roma.
Reporter: Even though Roma won't have some players available for the game this weekend, it is imperative for Juventus to win?
Tiago: "Yes, we have to continue winning to catch up to Inter. We have a gap of -7. We have to win our games. Then, we have to wait for Inter to lose."
00:33 Reporter: Can this Inter still hope to win the scudetto?
Tiago: "We have to believe so. We are a big team. We are in the second place and we want to win the scudetto. We kjnow it wil be hard. We want to play on Saturday and win at Roma."
0:50 reporter: With 10 days left, obviously all your attention is on the scudetto. Have you already left behind the terrible week?
Tiago: "Of Course (per forza), life goes on. In this moment there is the championship and that's what we think about."
--------
When will a Juventus player tell you that they don't think they can win the scudetto. That question was --- unrealistic to ask.
I think Tiago will play in the starting lineup. I hope he doesn't miss many passes and is involved in the Juventus goals.

Tiago interview in Italian to Juventus Channel on January 13, 2009. He was still injured from the game in December against Inter. He was about to return in January 2009.
Tiago: "A team that has returned to the Serie A. After a year and a half. We hope to finish this season very well, and that we can win something. Me, I haven't been my best yet but OI hpe to "
Reporter: Until the injury at San Siro, we saw diferent player how ar you and when can we see you playing again.
Tiago: "Maybe on Sunday I will join the team. In the last games I felt better in all aspects. That why I showed a better part of me."
Reporter: In the championship it's Inter - Juve.
01:06 Tiago: "Not just them. For now apparently so. Inter first and Juventus right behind them. However, there's also Milan. Probably Roma wil be able to fight for the title.
Reporter: Waiting for the Champions League, and Chelsea, a team you know very well.
Tiago: "Yes, it will be a good challenge. For me on the personal level I lived a year in Chelsea. It was a splendid year. I left a lot of friends there. It will be a pleasure to see them again."
Reporter: How do you see 2009?
Tiago: "As a good year, with many good things for both me and Juventus."
