Here's a video of the Portugal players inside the airplane... arriving in Switzerland for UEFA EURO 2008.

Or, in one of the languages of Switzerland, French: Portugal arrive en Suisse pour l'Euro 2008. The video's from the Portuguese, RTP tv news online, 'Jornal da tarde.'

The Portugal team arrived on June 1st. It was a 2 hour flight from Portugal to Geneva, Switzerland. I couldn't believe it when I saw the video online. It's almost like traveling with them. So elegant in black suits, ties.

The reporter mentions things like these and you see:

  • It was a 2 hourflight from Lisboa to Geneva, Switzerland

  • 68 people travelling in the Portugal national team

  • The Portugal players inside the plane fixing their overhead luggage. Cristiano Ronaldo, Miguel Veloso, Ricardo.

  • Players, Fernando Meira, Carvalho, Ronaldo, getting off the plane in black suits

  • Some airport staffers waited for them with big Portugal flags, yelling "Ronaldo o melhor" (Ronaldo's the best). With 5 Portugal players around him like Carvalho and Meira, it must have been awkward for them.

  • The players, close up of Ricardo Quaresma, Ricardo Carvalho, Ronaldo, shaking hands with airport staffers.

Video- Portugal national team at the airport "Portela" in Lisboa, Portugal leaving to Geneva, Switzerland.

Here's a video of the players in suits in Portugal. At the airport leaving to Switzerland. You see them carrying their luggage. Most of them didn't talk to reporters. You can hear Miguel Veloso and Cristiano Ronaldo. The many fans waving flags and yelling Portugal. It ends with the team bus riding in Neuchatel. It's a live broadcast from a Portuguese news channel.

3 Videos- Fans on sidewalk as the Portugal national team bus arrived Neuchatel on June 1st.

The Portugal euro 2008 bus "driven by the will to win" with the players arrived in Neuchatel on June 1st.

They were driving from the Geneva airport. When the many fans were there, the bus had to slow down.

The fans were yelling and waving flags. Some of them sang "A Portuguesa" the national anthem. Amazing how many fans waited to see the bus. Too bad the windows were tinted. The people couldn't see the player's faces or waves.

Hear and see all the noise the crowd made. You could get goosebumps. It's from the tv news online rtp.

3 Photos of Portugal national team arrive in Geneva, Switzerland! Now at the Portugal headquarters in Neuchatel for the UEFA Euro 2008

The Portugal national team arrived in Geneva, Switzerland for the Euro 2008, on June 1st.

After the 2-hour flight from Portugal, they landed at 8:20pm local time. Thousands of people waited to see the "Selecção Portuguesa." They used the euro 2008 bus to ride to the hotel in Neuchatel:

Neuchâtel, June 1st- The Portugal national team went on the hotel terrace to thank the support of the thousands of emigrants that were waiting for them.
