May 18, 2008- FC Porto's Ricardo Quaresma apologises for hitting Sporting's Joao Moutinho during their Portugal Cup final football match at Estadio Nacional in Oeiras, outskirts of Lisbon.

So many reasons I liked this photo. The clear tattoos on Quaresma's arms, the close-up of his name on the jersey. The captain's armband in Joao Moutinho.

Next Portugal game, Portugal - South Africa, Friendly March 31, 2009. Qualification "mathematically possible" says João Moutinho in press conference

Video Portugal press conference with 2 players João Moutinho and Pepe, March 30, 2009 Joao Moutinho (Selecção joga com África do do Sul)

00:20 João Moutinho in Portuguese: "We played worse and won. We have to continue working. We know it's hard. It's harder now but mathematically it's still possible. We have to keep working for the next games and to win them. we have avery small margin of error."

01:02 Pepe in Portuguese: "We have to work to score the first goal. Of course we have to think of scoring many goals. I think that he keep working and believe."

02:00 Carlos Queiroz: "Now, at my age, 30 yrs in football. in everyplace I went through I was prepared. I am prepard to get Portugal to the world cup. Portuguese football has to maintain its maximum potential for success."

Queiroz then stayed to chat with reporters in Lausanne. The reporters asked him why he didn't call-up Helder Postiga and Nuno Gomes! Queiroz answered -------cleverly I must say---- that he didn't want to single-out the 2 players but that they are not starting lineup players in their clubs (Sporitng and BEnfica). Quique and Bento don't get criticized for that. Queiroz therefore concluded that he wants to call-up players that are starting lineup players in their clubs.

Well, has anyone told him that Maniche has been a substitutes for 3 games in a row including FC Porto- Atletico, and even dropped in one game?

João Moutinho got a yellow card video, and his shot from outside the area was defended by goalkeeper Quim video. I didn't like how he complained about the referee in the post-game interview.
