Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in Lisbon, Portugal today. Now 20 of the 23 players are in Viseu for their pre-Euro 2008 training.

Slowly the Portugal national team players are getting to be the final 23 man squad. 4 players still need to arrive from England.

The 1st one to arrive today is Cristiano Ronaldo. Now there are 20 players out of the 23 at the Viseu Portugal training camp for the Euro 2008.

I was checking to see what's new with the Portugal team on the sports videoclips on my computer. If there's a story I see it on "full screen." Today's was Cristiano Ronaldo:

It's fun to watch because sometimes players say things in their local media that they won't say abroad.

He's wearing his red baseball cap with the CR 7 logo. All the questions were about his future and Real Madrid. He diplomatically said that he's not going to talk about his future right now.

It's interesting that he toned down Portugal's expectations to win the Euro 2008. He said "jogo en jogo" that they have to focus game after game.

8 days after I wrote this post I found this video of him getting off the car. A fan ran all the way to the parking structure to see Nani and Ronaldo arrive.

Now, 3 more players still need to arrive the 23 man squad can finally include some "titulares," starting lineup players. The 3 are Paolo Ferreira, Nani and Ricardo Carvalho.

Here's a photo of Carvalho from an interview right after the Champions League final in Moscow. He said in Portuguese:

"In the 1st half they were surperior, but in the 2nd half and extra time we could have won. To win you need luck. And in penalties, it's a lottery. They [Man U] had more luck in the penalties than us. Nani had to score. We had to wait for our mistake."
