The big question was if Sporting captain, Portugal midfielder, Joao Moutinho would play tomorrow or finally move to Everton. He didn't play in the Benfica 0-2 Sporting pre-season game.
In yesterday's Sporting training session open to the public, the media wondered how the fans would receive Moutinho.

Yes he's loved by Sporting fans. I don't think there's anything wrong in him wanting to leave. It was bad timing and he didn't have to say it in public, that I agree. He could only get better if he leaves Sporting.
I just saw this video, news report in Portuguese: Sporting treinou pela primeira vez esta época em Alvalade. They interviewed some Sporting fans that were watching the training yesterday and most of them didn't like it that Moutinho said he wanted to leave. "It's not fair, he's loved here, he didn't have to say it in the media, he owes a lot to Sporting...."
