Antunes' Lecce loses on Sunday March 15, 2009 Palermo 5-2 Lecce. Antunes was called up for the away game in Palermo. However, on matchday he wasn't even on the bench.
The Lecce site hasn't explained any reason why he's not playing. Antunes however is called up for the next Lecce game at home, March 22, 2009, Lecce - Atalanta. I hope to see him on the bench.
Lecce has 23 points and is in the 19th position of the Serie A table.
I'm worried he won't play for the rest of the season. It's not only hurting his chances to play with the Portugal national team, but with the Sub-21 team. Carlos Queiroz called up 23 players for the Seleccao B's training camp this week. Antunes was not part of it.
