Another young Portuguese in the Serie A
His former Sporting Lisboa teammate Nani had a great debut season at Manchester United. Let's look at how other young Portuguese players did this season 2007/2008 in the Serie A.
- Defender Antunes at AS Roma- Only played in Coppa Italia matches in 2008. Rarely called up.
- Tiago at Juventus. Won trophies yet Ranieri rarely gave him a chance to adapt quickly.
- Pele- Mancini used him often in games. Even used as a substitute when Mancini would take off Figo. Scored decisive goals. Sent off once.

June 14 2008- "Milan general manager claims interest in Veloso" (ESPN soccernet) AC Milan general manager Ariedo Braida admitted he would like to see Miguel Veloso at the San Siro in the future- "I am not too sure if in the short term we will see Miguel Veloso at Milan, but in the future yes."

Miguel Veloso is getting attention from big clubs but no formal approach has been 
made. being made. Why AC Milan? The rossoneri are not clear on Gennaro Gattuso's future at the club. They want to strengthen the midfield. It doesn't stop there. Milan also wants another defender in the negotiations- Argentinean Leandro Grimi also in Sporting Lisboa.
