Too bad for Benfica. They had to win this game and the previous one to advance in the UEFA cup. Unfortunately they lost the previous game with the embarrassing defeat Olympiakos 5-1 Benfica. This game BENFICA 0-1 METALIST! Benfica practically lost all their home games!!!!

First half no goals.
Argentinean Angel Di Maria finally was back. He recovered after a long injury. Nuno Gomes was in the starting lineup.
However, Quique replaced him in the 71st minute with Argentinean winger Angel Di Maria. Some home fans didn't like this substitution because Di Maria was just coming back from one and half-month long injury.
Mission impossible-
Benfica had lost their first 3 games. In order to stay alive in the UEFA Cup. It was no longer up to them.
- They had to score at least 8 goals against Metalist. Metalist had not conceded ANY GOALs.
- Hope for a draw in Olympiakos v. Hertha Berlin.
