Lineups, Video goals of Brazil 6-2 Portugal, Nov. 19, 2008- What went wrong with the Portugal team? Why did Brazil beat Portugal?

If you didn't have a chance to see the goals yet, here's the video. What went wrong with Portugal? Where was Cristiano Ronaldo. Did I miss Nuno Gomes. It would have been much more comforting to see Nuno Gomes come off the bench in the last minutes than Cesar Peixoto. Peixoto was called-up for the first time ever. What was Queiroz thinking by putting this new player in this difficult situation 5-2?

In the name of sportsmanship, congratulations to Brazil on this incredible victory, Parabens.

Brazil 6-2 Portugal
Nov. 19, 2008
Estadio Bezerrao, Brasilia, Brazil

First time Brazil beat Portugal since 1989! Portugal had beat Brazil in the last two friendlies.

00:00 4' Danny's goal

00:54 8' Luis Fabiano

02:24 24' Luis Fabiano

56' Maicon

57' Luis Fabiano

62' Simao Sabrosa

65' Elano

90' Adriano

What a party for the home fans of Brazil! I would have grabbed Scolari from the stands and make him finish coaching this game. Can't imagine what Carvalho (injured) and Nuno Gomes (not called-up) felt when they saw their teammates go through this embarassment.

Once again Hugo Almeida fails to score for Portugal. He had scored for Werder Bremen last weekend. I hope this performance makes Queiroz call-up Nuno Gomes. We needed a game-changer an experienced striker to help solve this terrible situation of 5-2.

Starting lineups:

BRAZIL 4-4-2: Júlio César; Maicon, Luisão, Thiago Silva, Kléber; Elano, Gilberto Silva, Kaká, Anderson; Luis Fabiano and Robinho.

PORTUGAL 4-3-3: Quim; Bosingwa, Bruno Alves, Pepe e Paulo Ferreira; Maniche, Tiago e Deco; Danny, Cristiano Ronaldo and Simão.

What went wrong with the Portugal team? Which of the 8 goals did you like?
