Inter already has 2 or 3 players that play in Quaresma's position. To get Quaresma Inter will need to get rid of 2 or 3 players. So they're "overbooked."
Inter president Massimo Moratti said in Italian on Corriere Dello Sport, Italian newspaper from Rome,
"We have a team with 6 forwards that can be in the starting lineup. To sign Quaresma we would have to sell 2 or 3 players, and I think that will be difficult."
"In defense, and despite having some difficulty, it is not the coach's intention for more reinforcements. 'Quaresma? I don't think so.'
Jose Mourinho expressed the same feeling after the Amsterdam Tournament.
"Quaresma can give the team the possibility of playing with more tactical options, but there are already players like that in the team. If we want to play in the wings there's Figo and Mancini. If we want to just play with one wingerand 2 forwards, names are not missing."
- What do you think of his statements? Quaresma can play more frequently than Figo. Why didn't coach Roberto Mancini use Figo that much?
