Defender, Paolo Ferreira did not have his best game today.
How much can you use the excuse that he's a not a left-back, but really a right-back and that it's Scolari that makes him play ouf of his natural position?
Portugal #2 was even asked in a press conference about playing out of position. Of course, he said that his natural position is a right-back but he's there to do what he's told by the manager and to play for his country.
Why did Scolari insist in using him in the starting lineup of all 4 games? Did Jorge Ribeiro deserve more minutes as a left-back? He hadn't played many games the last half of the season so he wasn't arriving to the Euro 2008 in the best possible shape.
- Struggled to keep Schweinsteiger from making crosses to the area.
- Podolski was quicker than him in 2 occasions.
In the game against Czech Republic, the foul on Behrami that deserved a red card but didn't get one.
