On Wednesday, October 8, FIFA presented the updated FIFA ranking. Portugal was #9 in September.
After the embarassing defeat at home in Alvalade against Denmark (Portugal 2-3 Denmark) Portugal descended to 10th place.
What team is now in 9th place? Russia! Russia was 12th and in one month jumped 3 places.

I am skeptical of FIFA's ranking and so are many soccer fans. It's incomprehensible.
