Quim Goalkeeper moves to SC Braga, 3-year contract, Benfica fans unhappy with his replacement Roberto July 25 2010



Benfica didn't want to renew Quim's contract at the end of last season. Quim left Benfica on a free transfer after 6 seasons with the Liga champions. The Portuguese international, 34, agreed to a three-year deal at Braga, rejoining the team he quit for Benfica in 2004.

Benfica then goes out and signs Spanish goalkeeper Roberto. Roberto is the highest-paid goalkeeper in the Portuguese league, Liga Sagres. He cost 8,5 million Euros.



Benfica fans were unhappy and in a pre-season game he was whistled at after conceding a goal. 00:49 Coach Jorge Jesus got the message and in the second-half he replaced Roberto with Julio Cesar. 00:52 The fans applauded after his first intervention.
