Moreira was asked about being in goal back in June 2009 before the qualification match against Albania:
Benfica goalkeeper Moreira: "It's an honor to be here in the national team. In this moment we are 4 goalkeepers working for the same objective- to be in goal. We're giving our best. it's obvious that I have that dream. If not against Albania and Estonia. I'm sure that one day I'll be in goal. Unity and will- we have that. We want to go to the world cup. We want to beat Albania so it could be possible."
