goalkeeper Quim, Maniche, Nani, Nuno Gomes, Ricardo Carvalho

Carlos Queiroz said in Portuguese in the post-game press conference:
"I have to compliment them for how placed in the field. They gave us difficulties in the beginning. We took a while to adapt to the field. In fact in the first 20 minutes our passes were bad. Therefore the links to the forwards were not good. Then the team insisted, we were able to score the first and second goal. When we scored the second goal, Malta lost motivation and faith so everything was easy for us."

00:40 Maniche in Portuguese: "I think we did a good performance especially in the second half. In the first half, it was little hard. There was also the climate and field. Important thin is the victory.

Reporter: Had you lost all hope from coming back to the call-up list? Glad you're back to the call-up list?
Maniche: "I learned that what one does in the past is not enough."

Reporter: "But did you find out what had happened, why you were dropped?"
Maniche: "I understand. What's important is that I'm back with all my heart."
