- scored a goal in the 67th minute!!! This brought the game to 2-0, Leixoes scored in the 74th minute ;-(
- today's goal is Nuno Gomes' 5th goal this season 2008-2009!
- Benfica were playing with 10 men!! Benfica midfielder Carlos Martins injured himself yet the 3 substitutions were already made
All this despite not being in the starting lineup!

About coming off the bench: "I did what was asked of me."
About the goal being the 5th this season 2008-2009: "Unfortunately, after the second goal, when we could have controlled the game, Carlos Martins got injured and had to leave the field. Therefore, with 10 players, we had to suffer until the end against an excellent team. They have showed that since the beginning of this season."
About the 2 coaches talking to the referee at the end of the match: "I did not see what happened. When one loses, thi can happen. I myself had partidcular reactions when I lost a game."
About his future in the da Luz: He repeated that the negotiations were in progress with the Benfica club. "Everything is going on the right track so I can continue being in Benfica."
