In the press conference where he announced the Brazil call-up list for the Brazil - Portugal on Nov. 19, 2008, Dunga said in Portuguese:
About voting for the 2008 FIFA player of the year: "Since I couldn't vote for a Brazilian player, I voted for Cristiano Ronaldo."
About Cristiano Ronaldo- "He's an important player that needs to be marked. But we have Kaká too. He's in great shape, reaching his best shape. It will be a special game."
The winner of the 2008 player of the year award will be announced on January 12, 2009 in Zurich, Switzerland.
We'll see if Cristiano Ronaldo wins this time. Last year he was in third place.
