I don't really think the FIFA ranking is a fair way to rank the national teams.
Anyway, Portugal was out of the Top 10!! Today it made it back. Now it's in 9th place.
It used to be #11. Because it reached the Euro 2008 quarter-finals it returned to #9, where it was before.
About the top 10 list: 1st time ever Spain is #1. France all the way to the bottom, #10. Germany in 3rd place.
