The day before the big match- Portugal-Turkey-
Friday, June 6, 11 am- Portugal team left the Hotel Beau Rivage in Neuchatel, to go to Geneva, Switzerland-
Hundreds of fans outside the hotel were there to see the Portugal players get onto the Euro 2008 bus. Two buses left. One with the Portugal players. The other one with the staff and other elements.

Simao said about the Turkey national team: "We have been studying Turkey. It's a technical team and they're tactically very good. We don't know how we'll face the match, but we have an idea and it's being prepared by the manager. We know and are conscious that it will be a complicated match, but our main objective is to start the Euro with a victory. To win we need to attack but with our heads."
"Portugal is one of the favorites, like the rest of the European national teams. Because if they're here it's because they have value. We know our value and we're we could get to. It's important to start well, always with the same thought and philosophy of thinking match by match. After, everything can happen."
