Portugal team alternative central defender- I want him to be called up for the Portugal national team now. So far, Carvalho, Pepe and Bruno Alves are 3 of the 'guaranteed' central defenders in the list. An alternative for Queiroz is FC Porto's Rolando. He played in Portgal 0-0 Sweden.
What other central defender? Besides Fernando Meira? I think Manuel Da Costa. 22 years old, born May 6, 1986. He has to keep playing at Sampdoria to get called-up for sure.
