19 more days for Portugal's 1st match on the inauguration day of UEFA EURO 2008!

UEFA EURO 2008 officially starts on Saturday June 7, 2008. Portugal will be playing its first match on inauguration day.

I'll be watching it on TV on ESPN. Glad it's on cable. I remember I had to pay about $20 to see the EURO 2004 final, Portugal-Greece, on a pay per view channel on Time Warner Cable.

Only Group A plays on inauguration day so that means Portugal:

1st: Switzerland- Czech Republic in Basel - St. Jakob-Park Local time 18:45,

right after: Portugal - Turkey in Geneva - Stade de Genève Local time 20:45

Every morning I go (online) to the sports news videos on rtp.pt to see if the Portugal players appear. Today and yesterday no mention of them. It's all about the Taca de Portugal final between Sporting and Porto. Sporting won.

On May 12 and 13 there were many clips on Viseu, the city where they will "concentrate".
