This draw at home meant Betis was eliminated from the Copa Del Rey. Coach Paco Chaparro came under fire for this unexpected result. Two games later he's still the coach and the results improved, 1 draw, (Betis-Getafe 2-2), 1 win (Sevilla-Betis 1-2)
